I’m delighted to share that my home has been featured in a recent Houzz editorial story, Dreamy Outdoor Oasis Blends Classical Design With Lush Gardens.
The feature explores how I transformed a once-disjointed suburban property into a calm, cohesive retreat aligned with my family’s values. Drawing on the rhythm of Central Valley orchards and classical principles of symmetry and balance, I organized the landscape around a precise grid, connecting the home to a pool, spa, productive garden, and layers of lush planting.
For me, a meaningful landscape balances structure with softness. Italian cypress creates privacy and a strong architectural rhythm, while grasses, hedges, climbing jasmine, and the reflective surface of the pool bring movement, texture, and life. Every detail—from discreet drainage to the alignment of indoor and outdoor views—was considered as part of the whole.
I’m honored that Houzz chose to tell the story of this deeply personal garden, and grateful to see its ideas shared with a wider audience.
