This professional couple occupies a beautiful and noteworthy home, but the setting fell short. Now they can relax and entertain in style in this dynamic and greatly enlarged garden that optimized existing elements. The custom retractable shade creates a space that feels like a home addition!

One of my favorite parts of this project was reworking the flow of the space to bring the outdoor and indoor environments into harmony. I loved the challenge of turning an old car driveway into a garden extension of the living space, and we also carved out a distinct dining area that felt completely separate from the house while still feeling connected. We carefully selected plants for a natural, semi-wild feel and placed everything to enhance both shade and sun moments throughout the day.

Rick and his partner had such thoughtful ideas, and together we created something truly personal. I’m excited to continue collaborating with them on future phases as the space matures.
