A Hospice Garden

Designed in a classic style, this garden was envisioned as a place that feels like home—offering comfort and dignity to patients, visitors, and staff alike. Completed in 2006, the sixteen-bed hospice care facility is anchored by a 150-foot-long rose arbor, its most iconic feature. Traditional in theme and thoughtfully attuned to its agrarian surroundings, the landscape fosters a sense of familiarity and calm for those navigating end-of-life experiences. Layered hedges, mature tree canopies, and private patient patios create gentle transitions between personal and shared spaces. A well-organized network of pathways leads to moments of interest—including four water features and a mist-filled grotto—inviting both quiet reflection and peaceful movement. A formal herringbone brick patio and adjoining lawn provide a gracious setting for larger gatherings and community events.
