An Extroverted Lily

Instagram, for me, serves as a space where I can tell my story as a Landscape Architect through snapshots. From picture perfect moments to detailed drawings, I enjoy having the ability to share all of the beautiful sights that I see along the way as well as having another outlet to express my creative process and directly engage with my audience.

In my line of work, I come across many different elements of landscape design that range in texture, color, and function. Every so often, I see something that captures my attention causing me to pause, reflect, and become inspired like never before. These are by far my favorite aspects to share with all of you!

Recently Brown Parcel Press, a family owned letterpress and design shop based out of Georgia, chose to draw inspiration from one photo that I had shared on Instagram in late July. The post in question was of some Canna Lillies that I had photographed during an onsite meeting in Patterson, California. Amidst the crowd of Cannas, one in particular stood tall and proud in an eye-catching manner begging to be photographed. This beautiful, bold bloom caught the attention of Brown Parcel Press as well as they decided to feature it as their newest limited edition design in their Greenhouse series. The print is entitled ‘The Monica’ and can be seen in the side by side comparison below with the original photo. I am absolutely thrilled to have had the chance to work with such an amazingly talented company who share the same passions for art and the natural world as myself.
